About Kay
Kay Fontana, “The Grandcoach,” helps baby boomers overcome the challenges of raising grandchildren. A grandmother for 12 years now, Kay and her husband have been sharing responsibilities of raising their 6-year-old grandson with their daughter; both are living in their home.
Along with raising 3 children and being a grandparent of 7, Kay spent over 20 years as a teacher, trainer, mentor and coach. She has a bachelor’s in elementary and special education, a master’s in educational administration, post-graduate work in educational leadership, and is a certified coach through the Coach Training Alliance. She is also a certified as a True Colors® Facilitator, and qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®) assessment.
Kay has authored two e-books: “10 ‘GRANDCOACH’ Survival Tips for Grandparents Who Are Raising Grandchildren,” and “Put Your Goals Into POWERDRIVE: 10 Keys to Getting What You Want Out of Life.”
Today, Kay offers coaching programs and services – from individual and group coaching sessions to training seminars – to help grandparents deal with the overwhelming challenges of raising grandchildren in their home.
